Real Band 7+ essays.
Written by students like you.
Not model answers written by tutors. These are real IELTS essays from students who scored Band 7 or higher — submitted, graded, and anonymously shared through IELTS Memo. Filter by topic, task type, and band score to find examples that match what you're working on.
What the library offers
Three reasons to read real essays
Real Writing
Not model answers. Actual student essays.
Every essay in the library was written by a real IELTS Memo user preparing for the exam — not crafted by a tutor to look perfect. That's what makes them useful: you can see the vocabulary choices, the paragraph structure, and the argument style of writers at Band 7+.
Find What You Need
Filter by topic, task type, or band.
Studying an Economics essay? Preparing for Task 1 Academic? Use the filters to find examples that match exactly what you're working on. Every essay is tagged with its IELTS topic category — Environment, Technology, Education, Health, Society, Economics, Government, Crime, Media, or Culture.
Learn by Example
See what Band 7+ looks like in practice.
Reading high-scoring essays is one of the fastest ways to improve. You can see how top-scoring students organise their arguments, which linking phrases they actually use, and how they develop ideas across body paragraphs. Then submit your own essay and see how it compares.
How it works
From the library to your own writing
Browse the library
Filter by topic or task type to find essays relevant to what you're working on. Every card shows the band score, task type, topic, and a prompt excerpt.
Read the full essay
Click any card to open the complete essay with its AI feedback — examiner comments, criterion scores, and error analysis. Identical to what a paying user sees.
Learn and apply
Study the vocabulary, structure, and argument style of high-scoring writers. Then submit your own essay and benchmark it against what you've read.
How the library works
Built for trust and usefulness
Every essay in the library meets a strict quality threshold, is shared with explicit consent, and carries full feedback so you can learn from the complete picture.
Anonymised
No names, no profile links. Essays are shared with the author's permission and personal information is never shown.
Free to browse
The library is fully public. No account required to read any essay or its feedback.
Band 7+ only
Only essays that scored Band 7 or higher on overall band qualify. The gate is enforced automatically.
Full feedback visible
Each essay shows the complete AI feedback — examiner comments, error list, criterion scores, and memorable insight.
Opt-in sharing
Authors choose to share. After submitting an essay, a Band 7+ card appears on the feedback page with a one-tap share option.
Topic-tagged
Every essay is automatically classified into one of 10 IELTS topic categories by the same AI that grades it.
All criteria shown
TA, CC, LR, and GRA scores are shown on every library card so you can filter for essays strong in a specific criterion.
Growing collection
The library grows as more students submit and share essays. Every new Band 7+ submission is a potential addition.
